Straight answers

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Credentials live inside each lock, so cards, PINs, and mobile keys keep opening doors during an internet outage. What pauses is the remote part — issuing new keys from the cloud and live log syncing — and it catches up automatically the moment the connection returns.

What happens during a power outage?

Nothing, as far as the door is concerned. Each lock runs on its own standard batteries, not building power, with 10–12 months of typical life and low-battery alerts well before anything fails. Every lock also has a mechanical key override for true emergencies.

What if a guest loses their card?

The front desk deactivates the lost card and encodes a new one in under 10 seconds. The lost card becomes a piece of plastic — there is no rekeying, no locksmith, and no security gap, and the audit log records the change.

Can you install on our existing doors?

In most cases, yes — the site survey exists exactly for this. We measure every door, backset, and thickness; the majority of standard hotel doors take a smart lock directly. Doors that need adaptation are flagged in the survey report with options before you commit to anything.

What does the internet outage mean for check-ins?

Walk-in card encoding at the desk keeps working locally. Pre-arrival PIN delivery needs connectivity, so PINs are issued at booking time — usually hours or days before the stay — which means a brief outage at arrival time rarely affects a guest who already has their PIN.

What warranty and support do we get?

Every package includes installation, staff training, and hardware warranty, with support from the same AlliedTech engineers who installed the system. Professional and Enterprise add proactive battery monitoring, and Enterprise includes a priority SLA with an on-site spare pool so a failed unit is swapped, not waited on.
